Première réunion en Afrique du Club des Ports à l'occasion du Jubilé du Forum de Crans Montana à Rabat

La première Réunion en Afrique du Club des Ports s'est déroulée à Rabat dans le cadre de la 25ème Session Annuelle du Forum de Crans Montana, placée sous le Haut Patronage de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI. 

L'Industrie du Transport Maritime en Afrique et en Méditerranée ouvre des perspectives économiques illimitées mais représente aussi d’énormes défis, notamment en matière environnementale.

Le Maroc apparaît de plus en plus comme un point de jonction essentiel et incontesté pour les relations Nord-Sud mais surtout Sud-Sud.

Avec la participation active de Tanger Med, récipiendaire du Label d'Excellence du Meilleur Port de l'Année 2014, cette réunion a permis de souligner la nécessité de coopérations renforcées entre l'Afrique et la Méditerranée.

Piraterie & Terrorisme en mer, au cœur des préoccupations du Club des Ports

Face aux menaces terroristes et à la piraterie maritime, la sécurisation de l'espace maritime est un enjeu essentiel de l'ouverture des économies africaines et de leur intégration mondiale.

A la suite du Sommet des Chefs d’Etat et de Gouvernement du Golfe de Guinée sur la Sûreté et la Sécurité Maritime (Yaoundé, Cameroun, les 24 et 25 Juin 2013), la Réunion spéciale du Club qui s'est tenu à Bruxelles en octobre 2013, a permis d'effectuer un rapport d'étape indispensable et un examen approfondi des moyens mis en oeuvre pour lutter efficacement contre la piraterie et le terrorisme en mer.

Un focus tout particulier a été mis sur la Corne de l’Afrique et le Golfe de Guinée.
